第12届北京国际艺术博览会将于2009年8月27日至31日在北京中国国际贸易中心举行。艺博会在十余年的积累发展中，不断顺应艺术市场变革以及品牌经济浪潮，吸引越来越多中外投资者的目光，为中国艺术市场注入无穷的活力。参展画廊来自亚太、欧美等地区的画廊和艺术家。不仅参展画廊各具特色，参展作品更具有世界一流水平，比如罗丹的雕塑《思想者》、雷诺阿的《枫丹白露景色》、毕加索的《穿紧身衣褡的读书女子》、罗中立的《过河》、陈逸飞的《水乡回望》纷纷亮相艺博会，立刻引起了艺术界的轰动，许多艺术收藏家、批评家、艺术爱好者慕名而来，参观者更是络绎不绝，共飨美术盛宴。
2008北京国际艺术博览会在提高艺术品质的同时，也赢得了可观的经济效益，艺术品成交量节节攀升。德国哈格曼画廊、田沧海艺术馆、20世纪画廊、朝鲜万寿台创作社等成交量极为可观。加拿大克莱默画廊系列雕塑作品成交金额达100多万元。历时5天的展览，数10家画廊与中外客商签订交流展览、作品营销与合作协议，总成交金额多达千余万元。
第12届北京国际艺术博览会不断汲取国际知名展会的成功模式，一直致力于展现和推介具有较大发展潜力的画廊和艺术家，拓展艺术创新和多元的艺术品经营渠道，成为中外画廊首选的交流交易平台。目前本次展会已经收到众多参展商的申请，艺术委员会将以艺术质量第一为评选标准，力争国际化、规范化，把不同地域、不同风格的的美术精品引进艺博会。

Contemporary Beijing 2009——the 12th Beijing International Art Exposition will be grandly held from August 27 to August 31, 2009 at Beijing China World Trade Center. Through the eleven years accumulation in the art market reform and the brand featured economy, Contemporary Beijing has ascended in the high rank among the international art fairs. In the previous Contemporary Beijing, the participating galleries, artists, and collectors from Asian Pacific, Europe, and American gathered in Beijing. Not only the galleries had their own artistic styles, but also the participating artworks were world famous, such as “The Thinker” by Auguste Rodin, “Scenery of Fontainebleau” by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, “The Girl in Corsetry” by Picasso, “Crossing the River” by Luo Zhongli, “Water Village” by Chen Yifei, which surprised the art field and attracted many art collectors, critics and art enthusiasts from China and abroad to celebrated the magnificent artistic grand banquet.
While focusing on the high quality artworks, the Contemporary Beijing 2008 has also gained considerable economic benefits with raising deal amount of artworks, especially the Artvalue-Hagemann West Coast Gallery from Germany, Tian Cang Hai Art Gallery, 20th Century Art Gallery from Russia, Wan Shou Tai Creation Institution from Korea. The dealing amount of the sculptures from Canada Klamer Gallery was more than a million, except for its order contract. All in all, during the five days exhibition, the total of deals of all the galleries amounted ten million.
Contemporary Beijing 2009 pays attention to the successful models of the top art fairs around the world, has always contributed itself to discover the potential galleries and artists, developed art creation and multi-featured——all those made the Contemporary Beijing a preferred communicating and trading platform. Many galleries have submitted their application of participating, while the Appraisal Committee is holding the best quality as the appraising standard, so as to pursue a international, standardized, and featured art fair with high quality art pieces.
